Choosing health check-up in Chiang Mai

Health check-ups in Chiang Mai on HealthJai come in two shapes. A basic 18-item set at Lanna Medical Clinic on Chang Khlan Road near the Night Bazaar (with a Hang Dong branch) covers blood count, sugar, lipids, liver and kidneys, and suits people aged 20–35 with no existing condition. A 45-item set at Chiang Mai Ram Hospital on Bunruangrit Road by the old city moat (branches in Hang Dong and San Sai) adds a chest X-ray and an ultrasound, and has a women’s version with a pelvic examination by a gynaecologist. All three are final prices confirmed by the clinic; the hospital’s packages book a time straight away and are valid for 90 days. If you need results for an employer, the 45-item sets come with a printed report and a doctor’s explanation. If you only want the basic numbers once a year, the 18-item set is enough and about a quarter of the price.

Frequently asked

Do I need to fast before a check-up?

Packages that test blood sugar and lipids need an 8–10 hour fast; plain water is fine. Packages without those two tests need no fasting, and each package page says which applies.

When and where do I get my results?

Usually 2–5 working days, depending on what was tested — lab-only sets are quicker than ones with X-rays and ultrasound. The clinic emails the results or books you in to hear them from a doctor; each package page says which.

Can I use insurance or claim from my employer?

HealthJai takes payment itself and issues a receipt in the buyer’s name, which you can submit to an employer or insurer under their own rules. Using insurance or social security directly is arranged with the clinic, not through the site.
